Early Treatment
Although an orthodontist can enhance a smile at any age, there is an optimal time period to begin each patient’s treatment. This ensures the best result with the least amount of time and expense. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial orthodontic evaluation at the first sign of an orthodontic problem or by the age of 7. At this early age, orthodontic treatment may not be necessary, but this evaluation will help see to it that treatment can begin at the most advantageous time.
Early evaluation provides for both timely detection of problems and greater opportunity for more effective treatment. Prudent intervention can help guide growth and development, preventing more serious problems later. Our office is very careful to monitor our patients and will not recommend early treatment unless it is entirely necessary.

- Creating room for erupting teeth
- Improving facial symmetry
- Reducing the risk of trauma to protruding front teeth
- Reducing the need for removal of permanent teeth
- Reducing treatment time with braces
Adult Treatment

GREAT NEWS! The new techniques and appliances we use greatly reduce discomfort levels, can reduce the overall treatment time and can decrease the frequency of visits. In most cases they can allow for several treatment options, including metal braces, ceramic braces, Invisalign, and braces on the inside of the teeth (lingual braces).

Esthetic Orthodontics
Using the latest technology, Dr. Panzer can create the same beautiful smile as with traditional orthodontics, but instead using subtle, almost invisible braces.
Invisalign uses a series of clear aligners to straighten teeth. The correction is computer generated, using orthodontic records of the patient and incorporating the specific requirements that Dr. Panzer feels are needed for your case. It is critical to the success of an Invisalign case that the provider understand the orthodontic mechanics involved. Dr. Panzer has long experience treating Invisalign patients and is an Invisalign Preferred Provider. He will be able to let you know if Invisalign is a posssiblity for you or if your child might be an acceptable patient for Invisalign Teen.
The SimpliClear™ braces system is virtually invisible, allowing patients to undergo treatment with extremely esthetic fixed appliances.
Orthodontic braces use brackets and wires to align teeth. The SimpliClear™ braces system is made up of translucent brackets and a proprietary translucent wire. Although the development for an invisible orthodontic braces system began over 30 years ago with the introduction of translucent brackets, there has never been a complete workable solution until SimpliClear™.
Incognito Lingual Braces.These are braces that are attached to the inside of your teeth. Incognito is a relatively new system of lingual othodontics. These are highly esthetic and allow for conventional orthodontic treatment. Dr. Panzer will be able to advise you whether or not this system would be appropriate for your case.
